Sunrise Township
The township is a collective of more than 50 single family housing unit in the arid region of Surendranagar, India.
The protruding entrance volumes create increasing privacy and environmental response. Simultaneously, the ground floor units enjoy great light conditions and a beautiful play of shadows on the shared courtyard façades between cluster of four houses.
In creating internal accommodation of the highest spatial quality emphasis was placed on maximizing and managing natural light penetration, views, and the hierarchy between private and social areas.
